Marcelo Senna / Brazil

Marcelo Senna | Drawing | Brazil

As a child, Marcelo spent his afternoons, after school, watching the city of São Paulo from the terrace of the house where he lived. The images were registered not only in his childhood memory, but also in the first pencil sketches he made.

During his adolescence, he painted the sea, but it was in 1998 that he began to portray the city of São Paulo on canvases drawn in pencil and graphite. The artist has already held several exhibitions and has his canvases sold in several countries around the world.

“I love drawing so much that when I walk through the streets and see the buildings, people and cars, I turn everything inside my head into drawing. Everything looks like it was done in pencil, it's a great mental exercise”.
